Man! With no husband at home as he travels for work, all of those extra responsibilities really sneak up on you. There are so many extra things to do, and the big challenge of the day – how in the heck am I going to get my grad school home work done? I might resort to hiring Babysitter #1 – a DVD recent release! Maybe I’ll even rent two of them. Day at the movies with popcorn and surround sound. Poor kiddos! It’s so nice outside today, too.
Oh Lord – no time to write this morning. We need to get going. It’s Sunday School day, and not only do I teach, but today I’m the substitute for everyone who’s out of town, too – my husband, the religious ed. director and the cantor. And – I need to get the kids out of the house to boot.
Quick song of the day – “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is” by Chicago, because normal time is arbitrary when you’re covering for everyone else. The alarm goes off earlier, and every item on your agenda takes so much longer. OMG! Need to run. Wish me luck y’all. I need it!
