Facade

Posted on the 06 April 2014 by Sreesha @petrichor_blore

There are tears in your eyes that you hold backWith wisdom of the years that is your pillarYour silences remain; they are your biggest maskNo clue would anyone have if your patience wears thinner.
The struggle of your conscience is too hard to read,Torn between what you want and your duty,Why do you give in to wants unreasonable?A kind soul must not be subjected to such cruelty.
The world sees you with the façade and fences around youWhat reason is there to feel protected at a time,When within you unhappiness is abundant?Don’t think you’re weak or vulnerable if you say you’re not fine.
Your sense of responsibility ties you up,Binds you in chains you cannot get rid of,It makes you noble but what good is nobility,When you remain forever in a mask, never to take it off.
