It's hard to believe that fall is here. Seemed like we only had a short summer. Oh well. I just came back earlier this week from a much needed trip to Maine to visit family. My nieces and nephew had a fun birthday party.
We hiked a small mountain, Bradbury Park on Saturday and later enjoyed chinese takeout. It had a steep incline and I wasn't used to hiking. I haven't been in years. But anyhoot, it was a very short hike up. Like I said, a small mountain. Our walk back was easier as it was basically a walking trail.
I haven't been writing on this blog as much now that I have my job, but I will try to write at it once in a while.
My kids have started school and my oldest has moved into the dorms out in Washington state. He's been out there for a little over a week and has already found his way around and has a big new friend group in the dorms. He's loving it and doesn't miss Vermont. Sad. I miss him. He misses us too of course but is having too much fun being on his own.
I may have to make a trip out there sometime when I can save up some money for a plane trip. Not sure when but I think I ought to do it sometime.
I've been knitting more. I finished one skirt and am starting another one. The one I am doing now will take longer to do as it's on tiny needles and the yarn is sport weight. It's a pink and camel striped one.
I had fun following my kids and my ex back from Maine. Of course we took different exits at the end and I had to keep going to mine.
I've got a sore back now as one of my daughters jumped on my back yesterday. It surprised me.
I'm liking my new job and have been there for well over a month. We had a fellow worker decide to quit on us and he didn't give any notice. But I'm hoping I get some of his hours next week. That would be cool.
It's nice here today and am not looking forward to winter. Not fun to look forward to.
