My life has been so hectic the past month. We moved, I went to Vegas, we celebrated Vinnie’s birthday. It has definitely been fun and I would much rather be too busy than bored, but it has been hard to maintain a balanced schedule of sleep, working out, blogging and fun.
I have a feeling my life is not going to slow down anytime soon. Especially this time of year with weddings, bachelorette parties, graduations and more! I am really going to have to prioritize and be efficient with my time. One thing I am really looking forward to is in a week I am going to my first blogger event sponsored by Fitness Magazine. I go the opportunity to go through being a FitFluential ambassador and I am super excited but pretty nervous. I will not know anyone! I mean, I feel like I know a lot of the attendees because I read about their life every day, but I do not actually know anyone. It will be good for me to get out of my comfort zone and really force myself to meet knew people! There will be a great panel of bloggers who I follow every day including: Julie @ Peanut Butter Fingers and Tina @ Carrots N Cake .
Yipeee! I am so excited! [but a little anxious as well]
I have been talking a lot about my stomach issues, well because they are annoying! To hold myself accountable I am going to try to post more of what I have been eating. This will make it easier for me to track how I feel and also see what worked and what didn’t. I don’t plan on posting everything, all the time. Just a little bit more frequently!
So, with that, last night’s dinner was salad with mixed greens, cucumber, tempeh, green peppers, goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. I had a large sweet potato on the side with a dollop of Greek yogurt.
This was my first time trying this and it tasted just like Sour Cream! It was really good, but I enjoy my sweet potatoes pretty plain with just some salt and pepper so I think I will stick to that from now on. But, if you love Sour Cream, I highly suggest replacing it with plain Greek Yogurt.
Before bed I had the rest of my Chobani yogurt. Nonfat plain Greek yogurt is a great snack to have right before bed. I typically reach for crackers, chocolate or ice cream and say to myself, “I will only have a bite or two”, but I almost always end up having just as many calories as I would if I sat down and ate a whole single portion container of Greek yogurt.
Greek yogurt is much higher in protein content than regular yogurt and contains a slow digesting form of protein (casein), which is much better for burning fat and helping to keep you lean!
Question:
What is your favorite late night snack?
Have you ever gone to an event alone, where you knew no one? How did you deal with it?
