Floods, Death, Destruction and Our 'Leaders'

Posted on the 19 June 2013 by Shruti2910

I see the media coverage of Uttrakhand, Delhi and other destroyed places of India with floods.
At the very second moment, News-channels have debates with 3 heads blaming each other for the condition.
Next flip, there is Nitish Kumar vs Modi debate.
All this for a change.
What is more disturbing is when we have HUNDREDS of people dead, innumerable people who have lost their family members, houses, cattles and savings which took 40-50 years of their lives, our politicians find it more important to grab the chance to blame the other party and fight like dogs.
One party which is in power surely hasn't done anything and when they make 5% effort to save lives, the opposition is making sure to distract them from working and instead give them answers.
If the opposition, who itself has history of no work done, finds the scenario so 'disturbing' why don't they donate their party funds and ask their Karyakartas in respective states who are so ready with 'valor' on their sleeves to kill people of other religion, to take a dip in roaring water and save people?

Tweeting and Facebook-ing how upset you are with the situation is something helpless people like me do. This is NOT what is expected from self-proclaimed 'Leaders'.

With such people RULING on our country how do you even expect youngsters of the country to even know who in the world is this BJP or UPA? And then you expect us to vote?
How can 5000 soldiers save 60,000-70,000 people? How can help of Re 1 lakh to affected people compensate for what they have lost?

I am 19 and I am frustrated with the plight of my country where 'Rajneeti' is more important than 'Raj-dharm'.

Rains doesn't please me anymore for now.
