Following the Creative Flow, One Day at a Time #aedm2014

Following the creative flow one day at a time

Art Every Day Month usually begins with a wild, passionate, purposeful pronouncement of what you may expect from me
throughout the month of artfulness November has become for me over these last few years. While many of my friends are plugging away at novels via NaNoWriMo, I am creating visual art (usually) though some years I have rested on my theater, poetic or other performance laurels.

This year, I have no idea what I will present to you.

I haven’t written much this week. My heart and mind have been quiet and I didn’t feel compelled to push. I was working through the 31days challenge and almost got to the end with 31 posts but it wasn’t to be.

This could be due to the chemotherapeutic drug I’ve been smearing on my face all week.

It could be due to the changing seasons not changing so much here in Central California.

It could just be I haven’t felt particularly motivated or inspired. I haven’t even posted on Instagram every day and one of my friends on facebook said, “I wondered where you went!” because my voluminous creative output wasn’t as bloated as per usual.

Well, I will be here, everyday.

I will do my best to post, everyday.

I am fairly sure I will be visually creative every day, such as with a self portrait from my ongoing 365feministselfies project or just whatever occurs to me. I will probably do mixed media work and collage and there will likely be some literary grannies or other writing coming through.

Just following the flow. That’s my theme for November, just boldly allowing the flow to take me wherever it feels like going. One creative adventure at a time, I'll share what I'm up to all November long.

This post is inspired by (and a reflection of my participation in) Art Every  Aedmlogored Day Month, a creative adventure hosted annually by the incredible Leah Piken Kolidas. Join us and be inspired!
