I rarely do this, but when I saw this product on Kickstarter I thought it was perfect for me.
My problem: I am in love with Sea Salt Ruffle potato chips and All Natural Cheetos. They are binge triggers for me. Saturday we went grocery shopping and I bought a bag of Ruffles and by Sunday night it was gone - all of it sitting in my gut! At one point I even put the bag away, but it came out an hour later accompanied with a beer. How I wish I could just shove it in a safe and not be allowed to open it for at least 24 hours!
So Kitchen Safe would be a wonderful addition in my kitchen. And I can imagine it being perfect in houses with children who fight over toys, or where the family puts their phone and iPad into the safe for an hour until dinner is over or homework is done.
The project only needs $13,000 more dollars to become a reality (it's gotten 3 grand in two days since I last checked!). I put in a pledge of $55 so that I could get two Kitchen Safes (one for each bag of chips? :) ) but there are $29 pledges available where you can preorder one Kitchen Safe.
Do you think this is a neat idea? What would you use it for?
