I'm not sure if, like me, you've heard at some point in your life how good French cuisine is. Chances are, you've had had. I don't even remember how or when it's gotten into my psyche, really, except I was an avid cooking show viewer when I was growing up in a remote island off the pacific coast. Julia Child I may have known only in passing un peu plus tard, but it's common knowledge even in the boondocks, you see.In retrospect, for an information to travel across seven seas, reach and be regarded as common knowledge even in our humble island thousands of miles away from France, makes me a lot more forgiving about the general exigeant taste of the French, most especially in food. They not only eat but invented French cuisine, afterall. The fresh markets in France, a feast to one's sight, are a good indication of the actual attention, care and thought they give to the preparation of their food.
