Histiocytoma (2)

Posted on the 03 August 2012 by Bvulcanius @BVulcanius

At 9 o’clock this morning we were already at the vet’s office. Rufus’ growth was going to be removed today. We could collect him at 2:30 this afternoon and he seemed pretty okay. He wasn’t really wobbling or apathetic; he was even wagging his tail! We took him home and at 3:30 he drank some water. After another hour he was already asking for food, but the vet had told us to wait until 6:00 to feed him. He ate some chicken, walked around with his toy and even challenged us to play with him (which we couldn’t do, because he has to take it easy for a while).

The tissue that was removed looked suspicious (which we already knew) and it was sent for tissue research. We’ll get the results within 5 to 7 days. It’s going to be a nerve wracking week, that’s for sure. We’re keeping our fingers crossed and hope you will do the same. In 10 days the stitches can be removed.
