My sister played her last High School Lacrosse game the other day. It also marks the last sporting event a Ford will play at Holderness School. My family has had a kid at Holderness for the last 12 years! 4 kids, 12 years… pretty crazy. To mark this momentous event, the whole family turned out to watch Lily’s last game.
My entire family (all 6 of us) which NEVER happens because we are all over the place, and all my grandparents came to the game. It was great! We cheered loud and Holderness played hard.
After the game Lily was sad her season was over and I have to admit, I definitely was teary eyed too. My mom and Lily had a long comforting embrace. My mom’s shoulder is always the best to cry on!
It is sad when something you love so much comes to an end. I get so emotional!
After the game, the whole team got together for a tailgate. There was a ton of yummy food and cake for all to eat.
The cake was the best part. It had a picture of all the seniors on it.
Lily ate herself!
It was a great game, fabulous day and an emotional end to years of memories.
The whole fam at the tail gate!
This weekend the whole family will get together again for Lily’s graduation. We will have cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and more attending. Wahoo!
