Uggghhhh….my heart is aching this morning. My baby is homesick. This is her weekend between one camp an another. She is staying with her uncle in California for these couple of days, so we have been able to talk to her on the phone. She wants to come home, and I feel awful. Man, talk about a knife going right through the heart when I hear her tears.
There’s not really much more to write about this except to say that we all just have to go through it and let these feelings pass. Believe me when I say that it feels pretty darn yucky for a Mama, too. I just hope they pass quickly for her.My song of the day is a song I found by the Vines called “Homesick.” It is a lovely song, but it’s too bad I have to use it. This Mom of a homesick child could use a hug today almost as much as my daughter could. :(
