How Grown up Are You?

I came across this article in the Telegraph the other day, 50 ways to tell if you're a grown up, here's the list and how I fare:

1.Having a mortgage - no

2.Mum and dad no longer make your financial decisions -no, well yes, they no longer make them - am not sure who does though!

3.Paying into a pension - a little bit

4.Conducting a weekly food shop - nope

5.Written a Will - no

6.Having children - yes

7.Budgeting every month -no

8.Being able to cook an evening meal from scratch -define evening meal, or cook while your at it, sort of I suppose

9.Getting married - yes

10.Having life insurance -yes

11.Recycling - yes

12.Having a savings account -yes

13.Knowing what terms like 'ISA' and 'tracker' mean - ??? That'll be no then

14.Watching the news - yes

15.Owning a lawn mower - have a share in one

16.Doing your own washing - yes

17.Taking trips to the local tip - no

18.Planting flowers -no

19.Being able to bleed a radiator - definitely not

20.Having a joint bank account - an old dormant one somewhere

21.Having a view on politics - ermmm, sort of

22.Keeping track of interest rates - Hell no

23.Finding a messy house annoying - yes, but doesn't stop it being messy

24.Being able to change a light bulb - of course

25.Owning a vacuum cleaner - yes

26.Holding dinner parties - not what I call dinner parties, no

27.Listening to Radio 2 -no

28.Enjoying gardening- that's picking up the dog shit right? No

29.Spending weekend just 'pottering' -as opposed to what, lying in bed hungover?

30.Mum starts asking you for advice - haha, that'll be the day

31.Carrying spare shopping bags just in case - in case of what?

32.Like going round garden centres - never, except to look at the animals

33.Wearing coats on a night out- what's a night out?

34.Going to bed before 11pm - yes, including most weekends

35.Making sure mom and dad are phoned at least once a week - nope, they're never in anyway

36.Classing work as a career rather than a job - no, work is work, even though I love it - it's still my job

37.Repairing torn clothing rather than throwing it away -no

38.You iron - kind of, front of shirts in winter, that kind of thing

39.You wash up immediately after eating -sometimes

40.Enjoy cooking -like sicking pencils inn my eyes

41.Buying a Sunday paper -kindle it, yes

42.Always going out with a sensible pair of shoes - don't do heels, are Docs sensible?

43.You like receiving gift vouchers - better than nothing

44.Work keeps you awake at night -no

45.Filing post - is this the same as filing nails? Don't do that either

46.Having a 'best' crockery set - yes, but it's at mum's house & she said I could have it when I was responsible enough not to break it

47.Being able to change a car tyre - no, flapping eyelashes at passing cars usually gets it done

48.Being sensible enough to remove make up off before bedtime - if I'm wearing any, yes

49.Being able to follow a receipt - follow it where?

50.Owning 'best towels' as well as 'everyday towels' - best towels are ones to dry with, everyday are for wiping up mess off the floor.

So I make that around 20 yes's, what about you? What else would you add to the list?
