I Don't Like the Doctor

Posted on the 06 January 2012 by Paige
Today I had a doctor's appointment. This really stressed me out. The anxiety started when I heard my mom make the appointment two days ago. I don't even know the reason why I don't like the doctor. She's not ugly, doesn't wear a white coat and doesn't take the blood herself. She's nice and not mean. Maybe it's the place as a whole that freaks me out. Maybe I just don't like her because she talks to me. She did suggest I get blood taken because I haven't been to the doctors in a long time and my stomach hurts a lot. The lab across the street was also horrifying. Why? I do not know. Even though there is only a tiny scab where the needle went in I swear my arm still hurts. Maybe it's phantom pain. Oh and while I was sitting in the waiting room at my doctor's office, I noticed the sprinkler system and wondered;
How do fire sprinklers work? So we Googled it: Automatic fire sprinklers are individually heat-activated and attached to a network of piping with water under pressure. When the heat of a fire raises the sprinkler temperature to its operating temperature (usually 186˚F/85.6˚C), a solder link will melt or a liquid-filled glass bulb will shatter to open that sprinkler, one sprinkler head at a time releasing water and sounding an alarm. Most fires usually require only one or two sprinklers to be extinguished. By acting automatically at the origin of a fire, sprinklers prevent a fire from growing to a dangerous size.
My mom took me to the mall to eat New York Fries when we were done. Then I went to Curry's to buy more oil paint so now I don't have to ration myself so much anymore. The lady at the cash showed me a set that was on sale with large tubes. The teenager behind me was giving me a weird look because I heard her say that her teacher said she was too young for oil paints and she looked older than me.
Did you know a "Google" is a number? A googol is the digit 1 followed by 100 zeros. Google it!
I watched the movie A Haunting In Salem the other night with my mom. It sucked. Bad acting and ugly people. It wasn't scary, I didn't even get a nightmare and I was sick. I would not recommend watching this movie.
My books came in the mail today, I wasn't expecting them until next week! I got four Emily the Strange books. My sister had ordered the Diary of a Wimpy Kid UNO game. We played it with my parents. Mom won the first game and I won the second game. It was fun.
My rat, Parson hurt his hand/paw jumping off dad yesterday. It looks much better today. I think his nail got ripped off.
