I Heart Long Weekends...and New Lipstick!

Posted on the 18 November 2012 by Laurat24
Hi Guys! Hope you've all had a good weekend. I've had a nice long weekend as I had Friday off work. It was my boyfriends birthday and I of course needed a whole day to get ready! We went out for dinner at this lovely mexican restaurant and then ended up going on a mini bar crawl which was very eventful to say the least!  Saturday me and the girls went to our friends house party. I LOVE house parties, it's perfect for this kind of weather when all you want to do is stay in and hibernate. We mainly played drinking games all night which, as you can imagine got quite messy, but was such a laugh :)
I'm having a lovely lazy sunday, all cosy with my onesie on and a constant supply of tea and biscuits whilst watching DVDs.  Anyway, I bought this new lipstick a couple of weeks ago and have been meaning to do a post about it.
Its YSL Rouge Volupte, colour: Rose Caresse, No 9. (sorry if the pics aren't too clear my camera isn't the best!)I heart long weekends...and new lipstick!I heart long weekends...and new lipstick!I heart long weekends...and new lipstick!I heart long weekends...and new lipstick!

This is my first ever YSL product as I have always thought paying £20 for a lipstick or any other make up was a bit insane when alot of the high street products do the job just as well...or so I thought.
The difference between this lippie and my trusty old Maybelline one is utterly amazing! I get quite dry lips, especially in the Winter time and found this to have a lovely almost creamy texture which felt very moisturising and actually helped my chapped lips. Its quite a bright  pink but you could still wear it day or night.
I have to say, what I was drawn to the most was the packaging, I am such a sucker for pretty girly packaging and this blows anything else I have seen out of the water, so I knew I had to get it and I absolutely love it and I adore the color.
I got this from Debenhams but you can get it from most big department stores. Although it's quite pricey (£23.50) it's so worth it if you feel like treating yourself.
The only thing, and it's not a massive issue, is that you do have to re apply quite often throughout the day/night, as the texture is so creamy and soft, it tends to wear off quite easily. But again, its not really a problem as I love the color and would happily buy this again!  Have any of you tried this lipstick or another YSL product?   Laura xoxo
