I'm enjoying my new job. I've been there just about four weeks now. I probably am an old pro at the majority of it now. I am still learning where everything goes.
The thing we have to watch out for is for people stealing from the store. Why do people do this is beyond me and I think it is sad that they feel they need to steal.
It's a hot spot for stealing and we have security on so many things. I never knew until I started working here that things like razors and tide have to be security tagged. I've only been here for a little bit and already have caught a kid stealing men's cologne and several women who have walked out with something in their purse.
We can't check their purse of course but we can tell them that they are not welcome back in the store. Really sad that people resort to illegal ways of obtaining something they want or need when most people use their honesty and decency to pay with their hard earned cash.
Anyway, liking the new job and I will try to post on my blog as I can find the time.
I've been spending these last few days with my oldest child before he heads off to Washington state for college next week. It's going to be hard not missing him once he is out there. It will also be a big change for his sisters and brother not having him around as much.
But he is excited to go out west and be on his own.
I've been doing some Christmas shopping! I'm hoping to make a trip to Maine next month for my neices and nephew's birthday party and their Christmas stuff will be dropped off at that point.
I've been doing a bit of knitting. I finished a yellow scarf for Julia and am working on a red and black skirt for me and a dishcloth.
