Yesterday, my hubby & I spent the day cleaning. Not just cleaning….but de-cluttering. De-cluttering in our home is a chore and a half. There are too many toys, garbage and just plain old everyday junk. It feels so good to get rid of so much of this stuff we just don’t need. It’s cathartic, and once you start, you just want to purge, purge, purge. Man…I wish I could stay in my home for the next several days and continue. I don’t think my kids could tolerate it though, so today will not be one of those days. Phooey!
Every chance that I get to spend a day de-cluttering, the outcome is always the same. Peace. A clean home is a peaceful home, and it always makes me realize how panicky messes make me. Now how in the world do I get my children to realize this? Man…getting them to clean up after themselves is like pulling teeth.
Ok….in honor of my lack of garbage in a few now non-messy spaces of my home today, I thought I should listen to music from the 90′s rock alternative band, Garbage. ”I’m Only Happy when It Rains” is the song that struck me for the moment, so click HERE to listen on Youtube, as I sneak in one more space to de-clutter before we start our day.
