I Was on TV on The Morning Blend Today!

Danielle Herzog on The Morning BlendIt was an exciting morning here in Martinis and Minivans land. First, I found a box of Milk Duds that was hidden in the back of our cabinet. That was a big win. Secondly, I had the awesome opportunity to go on our local morning talk show, The Morning Blend, to talk about the book I co-authored, The Mother of All Meltdowns.

I’ve never been on TV before so I woke up earlier than I did on my wedding day to do my hair and attempt to figure out how to put on makeup. My arms grew massively tired from flat ironing this huge insanity of hairy Italian hair and in the end, I felt as if I had fought the battle against the frizz and won. Side note: rub a dryer sheet on your hair after your flat iron it – works awesome.

So off to the studio I went. I was so psyched to find out that Joey, from Full House, was going to be one of the other guests. Ok, so his real name is Dave Coulier, but really he’s Uncle Joey and we all know it. I actually didn’t get to meet him, but I was dying to shake his hand and then softly whisper in his ear, “I know what you let that girl do to you in the movie theater… Alanis told me all about it…”

I was a bit concerned when the other segments before me were about such serious topics as respiratory disease and building homes for the homeless. However, I decided to focus on not saving the world and just talk about how I dropped my pregnancy pee sticks on the OBGYN receptionist’s desk. (Buy the book to read the story)

In the end, it went great. However, it is definitely true that the camera adds 10 lbs. The camera and the box of Milk Duds I ate at 6:05 am. And the other boxes I ate last night. And the day before.

Now back to my search for more Milk Duds… don’t judge… I lack all sense of willpower. And heck, I’m not going back on TV for awhile…
