All the hungry souls
Teary eyed
Waiting helplessly
Literally begging me to proceed
Proceed I would !
If I had my way..
But i am as insensitive
And as inhuman
As anyone could be
Though the desire is there
To be good
But i ruminate selfishly
What’s in it for me ?
And wonder how much hay I may make …
