I remember the day i first saw him.It was 31st december, the new year`s eve.(and it was bloody cold in here) I was walking to my flat on my way back from the market, where i heard this puppy crying. He was merely 2 months old,and was lying by the street, shivering in the cold.

I looked for her mother, but couldn`t see it. After waiting for 10 minutes, when there was no sign of her mother,i picked him and put him in my jacket. After few minutes when it felt the warmth of my jacket,he stopped crying.

Then i took a look at him,he was so cute, and the eyes were filled with pity. I brought him home, where i made a bed for him,out of cardbox. And placed some old woolen warm clothes to keep him warm.

First few days,he was a bit afraid of us (me and my 3 flat partners),but later he became a part of our friendship.Gradually 1 month passed,he became healthy, and learned to run.We also gave him a name ‘Rambo’ .Everyday as i entered the house after college,he would come running into my laps. We all were very happy to have him. Another month passed, and we taught him to play with us,he loved playing with toys. Apparently,he also broke them but we use to bring him new ones.

4 months had passed, and everything was going good. Then suddenly one day,my friend called me from home to college,he said that rambo died in an accident. I was shocked,i couldn`t hear any more. i rushed back home, where i found his lifeless body lying in the yard. I never felt so bad in my life, the very own puppy whom i raised up,who use to play in my laps was lying dead in front of me.

I buried him in the yard, with all his clothes, his toys and his milk cup.

The next few months were very hard for me,as he was like family to me. His loss certainly left a void in my heart…
