another jennifer logoWelcome another jennifer - we’re happy to have you Inside the Blogger’s Studio! This series is a way to get to know other bloggers, while also getting a glimpse into the life of a fellow parent. Who doesn’t love feeling like they aren’t the only ones going crazy?

So here’s the cool thing about this blog – it’s actually a blog and writing lab in one. There are funny parenting stories, and also amazing tips and helpful info for writers. Who doesn’t love that???

With that said, let the questions begin!

If you had to sum up your blog in two sentences, what would you say?

The another jennifer blog is about art, life, parenting, philanthropy, writing and other fun stuff. The aim is to entertain, to inspire and to make you think, though not necessarily all at once.

What thing did you do today as a parent you wish you could take back and do over?

I put my 4-year-old in a time out and totally forgot about him until he called for me and asked if he could come back in the room and play. Oops. I guess I was enjoying the quietness a bit too much.

What thing did you do today that you are happiest about?

I made someone think more about how they give back to their community. That always makes me happy!

What is your least favorite activity to do with your children?

Play with Transformers. Seriously, can other mothers change these things into robots and cars, or whatever they are supposed to be? I draw the line at Transformers. They drive me to drink.

What is your most favorite activity to do with your children?

I am always game for a dance party in the living room. We blast music and just let loose. We have so much fun. It’s also a good stress reliever.

When your child drives you absolutely crazy and you want to scream a curse word, which word do you wish you could say?

I would go straight for the F-bomb. But I don’t. Usually.

What’s your favorite lie you have ever told your child?

I try not to lie to my kids. I’m not saying that to sound like a great parent. I’m actually just a bad liar. They totally see through me. I’d say the best stretch of the truth that I circle around when they ask me is Elf on the Shelf, Santa and the Tooth Fairy.

At what moment did you realize that you really were grown up?

Am I really grown up? I guess the mortgage bill and car payments are a good reminder each month. That and the moment I gave birth to my first son. I mean, you kinda have to grow up once you are in charge of another human being’s life. Yikes!
