This series is a way to get to know other bloggers, while also getting a glimpse into the life of a fellow parent. Who doesn’t love feeling like they aren’t the only ones going crazy?

Provocative Manners is a blog that’s all about the fabulous lifestyle, fashion, treats and those common sense everyday manners that I usually lack. I’m pretty sure they would be horrified with my life but they give me hope that one day I won’t wear sweatpants that have a Goldfish cracker stuck on their ass…

With that said, let the questions begin!

If you had to sum up your blog in two sentences, what would you say?

Provocative Manners is a common sense blog with bit of sass and a lot of truth.  Every bit of our blog encourages each person to laugh, cry and it shares a piece of our reality with readers.

What thing did you do today as a parent you wish you could take back and do over?

I wish I wouldn’t stress over so many little things.  For example, the laundry has been unfolded two days in a row!  But the kids had fun, and even after I was upset about it my 3 year old daughter tried to re-fold it all.  It made me smile and wish I hadn’t become so annoyed so quickly.

What thing did you do today that you are happiest about?

Katrina and I just submitted our full manuscript to be published for our 1st book!  We are in amazement it is complete after 2 years of work, while taking care of my 2 kids and her 3 kids, husbands and homes!  We are actually ready to start a 2nd one!  Are we crazy?

What is your least favorite activity to do with your children?

I don’t like messy art projects.  There’s a reason I sign my children up for art classes.  Is it too selfish of me to keep the messy paints and “moon dough” out of my house?

What is your most favorite activity to do with your children?

I love to read with them, play games and work on sticker books.  That one on one time makes me remember the joys of parenting.

When your child drives you absolutely crazy and you want to scream a curse word, which word do you wish you could say?

I’m actually not a person who has ever sworn, but with our annoying dog who whines ALL DAY LONG, I want to tell her to SHUT UP probably every 10 minutes!  I don’t know how I restrain myself, I guess it’s only knowing that I would then have to deal with my children saying the same word.  Yes, I’m one of those moms; I can’t stand the word “Shut up”!

What’s your favorite lie you have ever told your child?

My daughter found a cute hat she really liked a store that she wanted for Christmas, so I took the hat when she wasn’t looking and gave it to the clerk.  My daughter asked where the hat went and I told her that someone else bought it and we were too slow at purchasing it.  She was pretty bummed, but then when she opened it on Christmas Day, the look on her face was priceless!

At what moment did you realize that you really were grown up?

One of the specific moments I realized adulthood was now upon me, was in the morning.  Even though I’m a total morning person, the idea that I’m forced to be woken up by children is definitely a sign of the adult years.  Sleeping in?  What’s that?  7:30 a.m. is sleeping in!
