Welcome Twins Happen- we’re happy to have you Inside the Blogger’s Studio! This series is a way to get to know other bloggers, while also getting a glimpse into the life of a fellow parent. Who doesn’t love feeling like they aren’t the only ones going crazy???
When I was pregnant, I would hear women talk about wanting twins and I thought they were crazy. Did they realize that it was two living creatures they would need to feed, clean, change, and then have to stop from whining when they turned toddlers? So when I found a blog from a woman who had twins and wrote about the insanity, I instantly loved it. Check it out – awesome for any kind of parent or person who loves to laugh. Plus, she’s a damn good blog designer if you are in the market for that.
With that said, let the questions begin!
If you had to sum up your blog in two sentences, what would you say?
Twins Happen is a brutally honest blog about raising twin toddlers, managing to not permanently maim my husband for driving me batshit crazy, finding my purpose in life and building a work at home career that I love.
What thing did you do today as a parent you wish you could take back and do over?
I haven’t parented all that much today (see number 3), so we will go with yesterday. I would have made them take a nap because they were the acted like evil spawn last night.
What thing did you do today that you are happiest about?
Took the kids to my mom’s house so I could get sleep get some work done.
What is your least favorite activity to do with your children?
Any sort of activity that involves crafts. At all. I hate crafts.
What is your most favorite activity to do with your children?
Sit outside, drink a beer and watch them ride their bikes up and down the street. Does that count?
When your child drives you absolutely crazy and you want to scream a curse word, which word do you wish you could say?
F*ckity f*ck f*ck f*ck
What’s your favorite lie you have ever told your child?
In response to: “Mommy, I wanted a green power ranger bike, not red.” Me: “Honey, I’m so sorry, Santa ran out of green paint.”
At what moment did you realize that you really were grown up?
This is a tough one. Sometimes, I still don’t feel grown up even though I have twin 4 year olds, a husband, and a minivan. I look back and see how I got to this point in my life and wonder how it happened. It’s like one of those slow motion action scenes from a movie. I suppose it would have been just this year as I discovered my passion in sharing my experiences with others and my passion for web design. Until I found that, I feel like I was still an 18-year-old college freshman looking for the right major.
