In an earlier post, I mentioned that I was going to start doing mini-interviews here on my blog. Today, I’m interviewing an author, blogger, and smart ass. It’s just one person, not three. Her name is Jennifer Ammoscato. And just so we’re clear, “Author, Blogger, Smart Ass” is her tagline. I didn’t come up with it.
Jennifer Ammoscato is my first victim/interviewee. Don’t you just love the name Ammoscato? It sounds delicious, like the name of an Italian dessert, something with liqueur soaked biscotti and whipped cream. Mmm. Okay, back to the matter at hand, which is the interview with Jennifer, not desserts that stay on the hips for at least two lifetimes.
Question 1: Who or what inspires you?
Answer: I was originally inspired by the challenge of whether I could actually write an entire novel. It’s a daunting idea! But, after I wrote the first one, I was hooked! Now I truly don’t know what I used to do with all the time I now spend on writing, editing, planning and promotion.
Question 2: What is at the top of your Bucket List?
Answer: Sell a million copies of my books and retire to the Amalfi coast 
Or, lose that last 15 pounds and still be able to eat chocolate whenever I want.
Question 3: Imagine you’ve received an Oscar, who do you thank in your acceptance speech?
Answer: My husband. He is very patient and understanding. And he lets me read entire novels to him for his feedback!
Question 4: If you had a teleportation device and could transport yourself instantly to any place in the world, where would you go right now?
Answer: A little coffee shop that we love in Savannah, Georgia. That city is the most relaxing place in the world.
Question 5: Who, living or dead, real or fictional, would you like to meet and invite for dinner?
Answer: I could go historical and say someone like Queen Elizabeth I. But I’m going with Ryan Gosling. He’s charming and rescues puppies from the middle of the road. Really, he did!
Jennifer and I actually have a fair amount in common. The idea of writing a novel was very daunting to me as well until I started doing it. Selling a million copies of my (future) books is right at the top of my Bucket List too. And who wouldn’t want to be able to eat chocolate whenever they want and still lose weight? As for Ryan Gosling, well, I thought that he was adorable before. Now that I know he saves puppies from the middle of the road, he’s been promoted to irresistible status.
