Keep It Up! Resolutions

Posted on the 13 January 2012 by Thealyway @DarlingRaquel
We are almost at the two week stretch for resolution check-ins. How are you doing? Around this time I usually get bored with my routine, but with the addition of all the new boxing classes, I am luckily still on a good track.
SisterT and I have come up with a list of things/songs/tasks that help us stay on track:
1) New tunes all the time! SisterT just introduced me to this song. Techno vibe that will help you continue on the tread mill (I just saw someone refer to the treadmill as the "dreadmill"on Pinterest, and thought it was perfect!) or stay with your reps while doing lunges or weights.

2) New workout clothes! Most stores are having great sales right now, and every time I purchase a new workout outfit I can't wait to wear it. I also work out harder in a new outfit. Keep it Up! Resolutions
Lululemon has beautiful pieces in bright colors. You never have to worry about quality either, it's the best!

 3) Just likes clothes have the ability to make you excited, so do new fitness accessories.

4) Find friends to workout with! Around this time a few years ago I started to introduce myself to others in the group fitness classes. It has now been a year since we started going out every month for birthday dinners. Keep it Up! ResolutionsI think I began introducing myself by commenting on every one's cute workout outfits or sneakers... and the rest is history!
5) Obviously the hardest thing is eating healthily. And it is with this that I struggle the most. New cookbooks, new online programs (such as SparkPeople, which is free), and eating programs such as Weight Watchers are all excellent ways to help with your eating. I did Weight Watchers a few years ago, and I lost 30 pounds in three and a half months (and I've kept it off!). Journal what you eat, it is the best way to realize, understand, and change bad habits and create good ones.

6) Remember nothing comes right away; you have to be patient. I am the least patient person I know, and it was difficult for me to stop expecting immediate results. Now after years of being on a healthy path, I understand that it is the mole hills, which you should celebrate... and they'll eventually lead to mountainous successes. Keep it Up! Resolutions
