The bad thing about my addiction is that I do a lot of shopping online. Because online shopping does not have an instant-gratification-effect I will buy several things over the course of a few days. Then, all of a sudden, I'll start coming home to boxes wondering "What the heck is in here?" It's fun to come home to surprises, but the fact that I AM surprised probably means I didn't need any of it.

The two worst culprits are ideeli and Amazon.I love ideeli. If you've never heard of it, it is a deal site that has mostly women's clothing, shoes and accessories, but also mens' and children's, along with housewares. I go through binges, where I will order all kinds of clothes. I'll be set for about six months, but then fashion will change. In order to keep up with those around me, I'll order a ton more. I can totally justify it because the prices are SO GOOD. It's just bad news after I've gone on a totally unnecessary shopping spree. oops...
{via} gah. Burberry just kills me. I will buy any of it if I can find a good deal.
I wasn't so easily sucked into Amazon until I became a Prime member. I love Prime because almost all shipping is free (anything that comes from Amazon itself), and it comes with a lot of free streaming TV and Movies. When I lived alone I didn't have a TV in my room. I would use my Kindle Fire to stream different documentaries before I went to bed so I wouldn't get scared in the silence. It was pretty cool. {The Fire is also great for reading actual books, obviously.}I love you, too Amazon. I love you, too. {via}
The problem with wanting to Keep up with Everyone is that it's not sustainable. Not only that, my money has so many better uses than new clothes or shoes - no matter how cute, or sparkly or lovely I feel when I come home to that surprise box.Do you have a weakness that causes you to want to Keep up with the Joneses? What is it? How did you realize that you were getting a little out of control?
