I am very lucky to be so… well, lucky. Not in the “winning the lottery and fortune raining down on us” sense of the word, although obviously if I played it might help.
No, I’m very fortunate in the “nothing goes very wrong in my life” kind of way. The children are in perfect health and doing pretty well at school. We have some lovely friends, a great lifestyle. The sun usually shines, and when it doesn’t I get to put the plants out for a good dusting, failing that we get wet, but hey, we have English blood in our veins, we don’t dissolve.
As you can see from the photo I’m not the only fortunate one in our family, this is a selection of the four leaved clovers that my son has collected over the years, he gives them away for birthday presents and to friends. Sometimes it’s annoying, he interrupts our dinners with friends by bringing piles of them to the table, mid main course. Apart from that, we’re very lucky.
The letter L in the A to Z blog challenge fell on Friday the 13th this year, now you may not like this date, but for me, that's lucky.
All this isn't to say life is perfect, I still get the occasional flat tire – but not when it’s raining and I usually find some very kind soul to fix it for me, which is – as I may have already mentioned… very lucky.
