Literary Solitary

Posted on the 22 December 2011 by Leah-Jlynn @Leah_Jamielynn

winter picture

I 'am left with winters solitude, no views to warm the chill.

as snow covers me with it’s cold embrace. Snowflakes wander,

touch,  and icily kiss me as they trance  my mouth and my face.

I stand still in the cold, self inflicted desolating  bitter chill.

My thoughts are inside warm memories, my soul and every part.

I don’t truly want to let anything go, I want to stay frozen,

I would not like to have a new start.

But, with every new beginning, begats growth and maturity.

As I learned when I stopped singing my ABC’s and placed words

in to sentences. In my mind I have  words of fertility.

Dare I open my eyes, I cannot deny I wore my warmest winter coat.

I could watch all my hopes float, frozen and melting as  they touch my face

I can stay and go back to that place , where imagination was brave enough

to face  what it craves.

I’ am prepared though wearing a winter coat. Not caring that the literary world

is thorny and cold, not as faithful as a hound. But, I 'am choosing in while with a

sound imagination that’s bound to all arts of creation.

I will soon shovel  or plow the snow, whatever I must do to get through

to spring. Giving stories and poems, that have been in hibernation, butterfly

wings. Until than a need a moment to remember when. In my usual

form I'll be ready soon to began.
