Clube Militar de Macau
This is a high-end Portuguese restaurant located at the back of Grand Lisboa Hotel.
There is dress-code for the diners. Female cannot wear strappy tops and flipflops. For male, no shorts, sandles and strapless top allowed.
We ordered: Menu de Degustacao
*the menu is slightly different as we don't have Roasted Suckling pig "Bairrada" sytle served with pala-pala potatoes, tomatoes and origans. (For my menu, there are three main courses)
The soup.
Left: Vegetable cream soup, right: crab soup
The vegetable soup is very rich. It is less rich than the one on the right. The crab soup tastes like lobster bisque.
Both soup are yummy and I prefer the right more :)
Sautéed green asparagus with Portuguese sausage and scrambled eggs with scalops
This is our starter food.
For main dish, there's Wet seafood rice Club style. It tastes like risotto.
“ African ” chicken marinated with garlic, onion, chilli and coconut, roasted and served with gratinated potatoes and mixed salad
Caramelized pineapple with coconut ice-cream and spices
Assorted traditional portuguese dessert platter
Overall it was a nice experience in this restaurant for Portuguese food. I think the food is nice but a bit overpriced. I will try other restaurants next time as I think there are a lot of choices with this price.
