Frogs here. Frogs there. Frogs are jumping everywhere.
Phew!!!!!!! Yesterday was crazy, insanely, manically busy, and I am still recovering from it. I worked a 12 hour day and was responsible for two full-scale musical productions at my work.
The preschool model Passover Seder was in the morning, and we reenacted the Exodus of the Jewish slaves from ancient Egypt. Of course, this was all done preschool style with silly little twists and turns to bring some great humor and joy to the morning.
In the afternoon, the Performing Arts club that I run performed the show they had been working on for the last 12 weeks. ”Sergeant Bull Frog and the Froggies of Egypt Land” has left me with a pure high and oodles of pride for the young performers. They were awesome!!!
All of that activity yesterday also left me with achy limbs and droopy eyelids that barely made it home as I crawled into bed last night falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I am still pretty wiped out, and the true question is, “Would I do it all again?” Yes! In a heartbeat! What a completely satisfying day!
I will write about each of these very special events in my Friday Tucson JCC blog, “Shabbat Shmoozings.” There will be lots of photos, so please be on the lookout and check back. Until then, here is a song that sums up my yesterday. ”Manic Monday” by the Bangles describes it well! TGIT — Thank G-d It’s Tuesday!
