Meeting best-selling author, Kimberla Lawson Roby, was great! She’s kinda soft-spoken and very humble. She talked about her days working in corporate America and how she wsa devastated because she was passed up for a promotion that she knew that she was qualified for. Once that happened, she decided to quit her job and work full time as a writer. And now, she’s very well known for writing the Curtis Black series. I was motivated after hearing her story.
