Mere Yaar Ki Shadi Hai!

Posted on the 23 October 2013 by Brinda @BrindaKrish

Call it irony or, simply term it life. But you do not always get what you want. Maybe, because you don't always ask for what you deserve. Every person gets what he/she deserves and, deserves of course the best. Maybe that is why Dragon is getting married to someone else. He deserved someone else, and I deserved the best husband.
My friends keep asking me how I am holding up to the Dragon thing. They assume I am sad deep down, hiding the pain from them. Speaking the truth, I am not sad. It did feel weird while Dragon was giving me the news. The lips carried a huge smile yet, the chest felt like a prison to the heart. An asylum where the heart had been caged, with no place to run or, hide. I was week at my knee, with hands shivering and head swirling. So much that I needed a paracetamol. But deep down, I am happy. For he has found his happiness. With all that is going on in his life, I am happy that this girl will fill a vacuum. Give him peace for it is something he needs.
Fumbling for what more to write, the image of his (or, ours) comes to my mind. In the auto to Shivaji nagar, he holds my hands, looks into my eyes and sings,
There are so many times I've let you down So many times I've played around Every place I go. I'll think of you Every song I sing, I'll sing for you When I come back, you will have a wedding ring (Of someone else)
We laughed at the last line as he kissed my hand. It was me who was getting married then.It was he who was telling me, "I am happy for you".
I wish you get all the happiness you deserve Dragon and a bit more. A very happy married life to you.
