This morning I am sitting at my keyboard, wondering when my current writing spree will dive bomb into the clay soil of my Bakersfield front yard.
I know, optimistic day I am having, right?
Actually, I love the writing fun I am having and indeed, I plan to continue it.
I know we are only a couple days into Round 1 for this year’s ROW80, but even with that, my goals are helping me shape my activities and flex my writing muscle. It continued to be strengthened during my days of battle and worry with melanoma, but I didn’t feel focused at all. It was more like a little here, a little there and an occasional spurt of #teamsprinty activities with my #row80 friends on Twitter.
I managed to help facilitate OctPoWriMo, but that was from a not-entirely-alert-to-life space I don’t feel like inhabiting again, thank you very much. Let me clarify: that is YES on OctPoWriMo and NO to “not-entirely-alert-to-life-space.”
I actually have a reading list for 2013 which I am pursuing along with allowing the random books to appear on my list from nowhere, perhaps bumping one of my good intention titles, but all that is just fine and right. And now, just a hop from the beginning of January, I am right on track.
All of a sudden I realize I am actually sitting at my keyboard, wondering where my current writing spree will take me next. I think I’ll put on my seat belt and watch the words rip.
Word-love to each and all… and may you continue to be alert and moving your pencil as we Row Row Row along…
