Oh, Mr. Music Man, Could you play,Some soul stirring music,
Because I want to feel no pain,
I want to dance away in glory.
They say music has a lot of power,
I want to feel its healing strength,
And if you want, you can sing too,
I think I would love to join.
Oh, Mr. Music Man, surprise me,
With the choice of your music,
I see you night and day,
Playing every day by the side of the road.
I want to know what keeps you going,
When people pass you by without noticing,
And you still manage to smile,
And comfort them with your music.
Oh, Mr. Music Man, I sometime wish,
I could play music like you.
