My Stats, 21 Pounds Down, BMI Under 25

Posted on the 18 March 2013 by Gray Eyed Athena @grayeyedowl

This piece of good news is enough to shake away the cotton from my sleepyeyes for a moment:

I’ve lost 21 pounds and my BMI is finally finally out of the Overweight zone and into the Normal weight zone.  Yes, I’m happy to be out of Overweight, but Normal won’t cut it for long.  40 pounds to go until the sweet sweet Underweight zone.  I can do it!

So many cups of black tea for breakfast. Gotta celebrate my 20 pounds lost but head towards the next 20. And then 20 more. Watch me.—

In the spirit of transparency, and since I posted a picture of myself to honor my 1 year wordpress birthday, I am letting myself be vulnerable enough to post a snapshot of my weight stats so far.

Height:  5 feet 4 inches

Starting/highest Weight:  165lbs

Current Weight:  144lbs

Goal Weight:  105lbs

I eat under 800 calories a day.  I am gluten free and place an emphasis on a healthy fat and protein nutrition base.  When I’ve gone lower than 800 calories my weight loss slows.  I exercise more than three times a week with Yoga, Pilates, and I work with a personal trainer.  I take a boatload of vitamins and supplements every day.  I don’t sleep, but I’m working on that.

I am taking pictures every month to document my journey; I’ll post them here when I feel confident in my end result.
