Naples... 19 Days!

Posted on the 28 February 2012 by Thealyway @DarlingRaquel
I. Can. Not. Wait... to be sitting on the beach, with sand in my toes, and a good book in hand! Mrs. Darcy is taking SisterT and me to Naples for SisterT's birthday, which always seems to happen during her spring break. While I am usually an East Coast Florida girl (WPB), I am anxious to visit Naples. I have never been before. Do you have any recommendations of where I should visit?
In preparation for Spring Break, I have done the following:
1) Donated a majority of my winter/fall/spring clothing that I did not like/wear any more. I can not leave home with a mess or things on my mind. Closet cleanse... check!
2) I have found a Bikram yoga studio that offers a New Student special for two weeks unlimited classes. I start next week. Any advice? I'm hoping it will help me in losing some last minute pounds before the trip.
3) I have already picked a few outfits that I am bringing that way come the week of the trip, I can worry about other things, not packing, which I find to be incredibly stressful.
4) Ordered books: The Fault in Our Stars and Speak (Continuing on my YALit kick.)
Naples... 19 days!
What will be in my suit case & on the beach...
Naples... 19 days!
1. A fun tote! These painted works of art by Elise Francesca are stunning, and incredibly unique.
2. Some Lilly dresses, comfortable and cute with Stephen Bonanno sandals.
3. Swimsuits, the scuba looking suit is from Target. I thought it would be a fun extra to bring. The color blocking may also have a slimming effect.
4. A bright-patterned towel. Here are some great choices by Trina Turk. Sometimes when I go for a walk on the beach, and there are a lot of people, I can not find where I was sitting. These bright towels will help you find your family/beach spot.
5. Sunscreen for your body, and sunscreen for your face. This is a must! I freckle easily, and the Neutrogena Sport Face is perfect for me. I love getting in the water, so a waterproof sunscreen is a must. Along with sun protection, a Southern Tide hat to block the sun from the sensitive skin around my eyes. Plus, I can't forget my sunglasses and croakies!
6. Lastly, beach-friendly healthy snacks. The new Chocolate Dipped Coconut Luna Bar is sinfully delicious, Smart Water to keep my electrolytes up in the hot sun, and cubed pineapple in a baggy are my favorite beach treats.
Where are you going for Spring Break? I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!
