I have a very sensitive and soft scalp so unfortunately after my braids were done, I was in terrible pain not just the normal pain after doing braids. I had blisters all over my scalp! Big bulges that I feared will turn into boils or wounds! Some parts of my scalp were soooo smooth that I feared suffering from alopecia! ...and that the hair won't grow back!!!! So the natural hair journey was definitely not going according to plan. After doing some research on various natural products that I can use to treat this, I came up with my own concoction for my problem.
Its a really simple recipe hey, so don't panic
Ingredients
* One Aloe Vera ( Or You can use 1/2cup aloe vera juice which you can find in herbal shops)*1/4 Cup of water* 1/4 cup of pure Amla oilYou will need* And empty spray bottle* Knife, bowl, cupOur Garden is blessed with loads of Aloes so i just chopped off two. I did my research and found that Aloe vera helps to reduce the redness, itching, scaling and inflammation of the scalp which directly benefits the hair. This is due to it's enzymatic properties. Aloe vera has many more benefits for hair such as, reduction in hair loss, balancing the pH of the scalp, improving hair growth etc! you really should google it up.
And here's my Amla oil I also did my research and found that Amla oil is also really great for hair and scalp. It has a cooling effect which helps to cure heat boils that develop on the scalp. It's also good to resolve scalp problems like dandruff, boils and itching. And there are many more benefits of this amazing oil. So please search it up too!
OK here we go
Chop out the sharp edges, then cut the aloes into squares
then cut out the green covers from the aloes leaving only the white insides. Measure 1/4 cup of water and put the aloe insides inside. leave them there for like half and hourThen fill up your bottle till 3/4 full with the aloe vera and water mix
fill up with 1/4 cup of amla oil
And there you have it! simply shake and spray twice a day for best results
I hope this recipe can help others out there who went through a painful time like me.Hit me up with questions and do tell if you try it out.Love, Thandi.
