On Saturday we went grocery shopping and played with her two puppies while waiting for her husband to fly over the house (he's a Marine pilot).
Sweetie pie!
Later that night we went to a birthday party for one of her friends who just turned 40. I am used to being around people that are older than me by a few years, but not usually 15 years older than me. Heck, I can't even rent a car yet and some of the people at this party had kids and a mortgage! [Much like the majority of blogs I follow :)] It was still really fun and the birthday boy partied for longer than my 24 year old self could handle. If my parents hadn't named me the designated driver, I could see all those real adults pressuring me into letting loose and taking shots. No thank you!Rockin' glasses lately
The party people either a) Assumed I was married or b) Assumed I was single and on the lookout for a man. There was a singer in a band rocking out and two of the guests asked if I wanted to be introduced. No thanks, I'll stick to my tall blond med student back home.On Sunday after a nice brunch with my stepmom, I made the 8.5 hour trek back to PA. M greeted me at the door with a sneaky grin, and I was too cranky to indulge him. Turns out he made cookies, cleaned the whole house, and bought a real Christmas tree while I was gone. What a sweet heart! When my cold exterior melted a few minutes later, we got to watch Kira running around the tree like she was in the wild before I fell asleep.
She keeps staring at it like a squirrel is about to pop out.
Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend while I was gone!
