How persistent are you with your writing?

I’ve been doing this “writing thing” professionally for more than a decade and I must confess, some of my earlier work embarrasses me. Some of it isn’t bad at all but some of it is downright painful.
And to think I was so proud of it!
I have to smile at my long-ago-sweet-self. There isn’t anything inherently wrong with naivete, after all.
More important is to continue to get better. To consistently improve and develop as a writer.
Questions:
What do you remember of your writing from long ago?
What writing and/or creative projects make you feel the most satisfied? What makes them so satisfying?
