Of Meanies and Bullies

Of Meanies and BulliesWhile we live, life will be a never-ending string of highs and lows. Not everyone we meet would be pleasant. I've known that as a child when my seatmate would occasionally steal my favorite crayons. I've known that in high school when some "friends" would go behind my back and talk trash. Even some of my teachers didn't spare me. Then we grow older and get into the corporate world and it's the same story. You can't please everyone, no not even your coworkers. You will meet customers or clients too who would bully you. Depressing ain't it, when you know deep inside that you haven't done anything wrong and this person whom you don't even know decides to unload all of his anger on you. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Having been in that situation for so many times, here is a gentle reminder before going through your day. Assuming that at any given time you could be the victim or the aggressor, I think it would be sweet if you keep this saying in mind. Of Meanies and BulliesSo, be kind. Simple. Patience and tolerance at its best. I promised to keep that at heart so as not to end up unloading my anger on the poor girl at the customer service area or the cash register. I've worked in a telecommunications company as a customer service representative. On my line of duty, it was normal to meet people who had problems or complaints. If I were to rate myself from 1 to 5, being highest, I would say I was a 3.75 at it. But I had bad days too: full of humiliations. So I rant and rant, plot my revenge, and curse the person who has done me wrong but at the end of the day, it's better to let go and ignore it. Find time to reflect on the situation and find ways to improve yourself. Maybe you forgot to smile so you put more weight on their already bad mood. I bet the person who has humiliated you is also reflecting on the same thing and maybe he regrets it. Sing yourself of a song. Maybe this one will make you feel better:
Songs that say:"Someday I'll be living in a big old city and all you're ever gonna be is mean."are meant to make you feel better. But if you want something even more hardcore, they locking yourself up in your room and singing "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson will full-blast volume. Trust me it feels good. :) Scream like hell! Eat your favorite food and sleep it off.Above all, pray. It will pass too. Life's too short to be spent moping about people who don't know any better. Smile :)
