Well, it's happened to me but I'm not quite so sure you can say it's FLAT. It's more of a sweeten metallic taste. One, that is NOT of my liken I might add!So, my favorite drink is da da daaaahhhhh ... DIET COKE! We buy 12-packs of it all the time and keep it cold in my fridge, along with other drinks.
