Monday marked the beginning of a new school year. As usual, the first day is just for teachers, and meetings, and lots of info.
Today I saw my students again after the 8-week-long summer break. Some were still in their beach outfits, others were displaying signs of severe over-relaxation, and a few actually seemed to be glad to be going to school again. Some parents will probably be happy, too.
This week, my students will participate in a couple of activities, two of which will be directed towards doing research. Another one will be just for fun and some team-building and will involve climbing trees.
I’ll also be taking some time to get my students just a little bit better by doing 20-minute coaching sessions with them.
Somewhere during the next couple of days, I will also have to finish all my preparations for next weeks, when the actual lessons will start. I’ll be happy when that time comes, since that will mean order and regularity.
Besides, I’m curious how my pregnant body will cope with a tight schedule…
