One out of 365? Nearly Impossible - the Annual Selfie of the Year Election

Posted on the 07 December 2014 by Juliejordanscott @juliejordanscot

Asking for me to choose my favorite selfie in a year of 365+ Selfies is difficult at best.

What I can share, though, are a few I especially love.

I dealt with chemo to prevent recurring skin cancer, so I am sharing a blended selfie - two looks on the same day. It really shows how selfies caught even on the same day can tell a completely different story, both entirely true and accurate.

My My "chemo face" got much worse than this day. Scarves and sunscreen are my best friends these days.

This second selfie was taken in January. I was actually lying on the ground, attempting to capture a plant up close and when I went to take the photo, there was my face! My camera had been left in selfie mode, so I simply took one anyway since it looked like I looked much of the time.

This is how I look when I am on the other side of lense: aiming at my subject. I wasn't expecting it, that day, to be me! This is how I look when I am on the other side of lense: aiming at my subject. I wasn't expecting it, that day, to be me!

Finally, the photo I think looks the most like a glamour shot was taken in a bathroom during my brother’s wedding. I love how it turned out.

It was a tough emotional night yet also a celebration. I timed myself out in the restroom and practiced selfie taking. I look glamour gal-like here! It was a tough emotional night yet also a celebration. I timed myself out in the restroom and practiced selfie taking. I look glamour gal-like here!

What do you think?
