POEM 16
Tears always seems to wet the pillow case
where he use to lay.
Gone are days I wished to hear children in a
back yard play.
Walt Disney , never prepared me for these days
When the prince isn’t a prince anymore
but a man, who now sees my love a bore
A man I once love and adored.
Has left me lingering with his Judas kisses
A betrayal of love, without hopes or wishes
Just an unkempt house with dirty dishes
To sad to move, to removed from who I 'am to care
The bathroom mirror gives a sad look stare.
Never mind running a comb through this ragged head of hair
But, the stench of not taking a shower for awhile
Reawakens my senses, to wash, play music and sing out loud
I Jump out the shower, jump back into life and take a bow
Because, this melodrana of a pity party has gone on far to long
It’s time to get back into life and be strong.
Let go of the betrayal, insecurity and the sadness,
because God knows I belong.
I know that I 'am winner, each time I get up
No matter how slowly, I 'am deserving of a trophy cup
Once again back to who I’ am Beautiful, blessed
and no longer, defied by my ex.
and Breathe.
I’m still Blessed, just experimenting with the not so light subjects, during this NaPoWriMo2012.
