Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV (plus freebies)
I love reading a good book. Chances are, get me interested in a book and I'm not gonna put it down for long until I've finished it. That's how I see this new Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV. I'm not gonna be putting it down anytime soon.Ok, so this is not a book to be read but it IS without a doubt one of THE best books I have ever opened! (Not to mention the FOUR awesome freebies that came with my order!)
Let's take a look inside...
First and foremost, there are 16 gorgeous eyeshadows in this palette. Ten of those shadows are brand new. Colors range from soft creams and pink tones to gold, purples, greens, browns, blues and a gray that's perfection for a smoky eye. Colors include (beginning top left on picture) Blue Bus, Gunmetal, Cobra, Baked, Bender, Gravity, Lost, Hijack, Midnight Cowgirl, Sin, Midnight Rodeo, Crystal, Bust, Missionary, Skimp, Zephyr. These shadows are so blendable, richly pigmented and feel smooth when you apply them.
Also included in this kit are a travel size Supercurl Curling Mascara, a travel size Eyeshadow Primer Potion and a full size 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion (black).
As if that's not enough, Urban Decay also appeals to the tech nerd in me by including in this kit a keychain speaker that can be hooked up to a smartphone (cord provided in the box as well). PLUS a card with digital QR (Quick Response) codes that you can scan with your smartphone to view five different "How-To" videos for looks using the shadows in this palette.
All packaged beautifully in a modern style box decorated with three-dimensional butterflies and a mirror in the lid. Pretty enough to leave on any vanity. There's even a spot in the lid to place your smartphone so that you can watch the instructional videos while applying the shadows.
Oh and did I mention the freebies that came with my order from Urban Decay's website? Yep, with my order came a travel size of Eye Shadow Primer Potion in Greed (shimmery gold primer & highlighter), a travel size Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Wallflower (a yummy lip plumper), a travel size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 1999 (a metallic burgundy color) and a travel size bottle of All Nighter (a long-lasting makeup setting spray).
My opinion (and not just because I got this for my birthday), well worth the $64 price tag. Score yours here!
