Picasso at the AGO

Posted on the 08 June 2012 by Paige
Yesterday I went to the AGO with Grandpa to see the Picasso exhibit. Picasso changed his styles a lot and could actually draw and paint well, but chose not to. I personally did not like most of his paintings. It's just too abstract for me. The exhibit was interesting though. He painted a lot of stuff that I couldn't tell what it was. He also painted a lot of naked people. In a lot of the paintings the person had two different eyes or one weird eye. He mostly painted people not landscapes. There were also some weird sculptures. I don't really 'get' his art, I didn't really like it. The AGO itself was very pretty. They had very pretty wooden sliding doors that had to be moved away separately when it first opened. It took the staff a long time to move them all. When they were taking the tickets members could go directly into the exhibit but the non-members had to go around the corner before entering. After we got bored of the exhibit we walked around the AGO a bit and stopped at a table where you could draw. The chairs were like mini trampolines and were pretty comfortable. I drew a tree, actually a forest, it was three trees, all different. The tops were bushy like how you see trees without your glasses. After we had fries and onion rings, then I had a stomach ache. Now when I eat junk food my stomach gets upset. Before we went to the AGO we went to breakfast at Cora's. I had a scrambled egg, two pieces of toast, some home fries, hot sauce a piece of cantaloupe and a piece of orange and a glass of orange juice. It was really good. I couldn't eat all the toast because my teeth hurt from going to the orthodontist the day before. I'm going to get my bottom braces on next time I go which will be late summer.
