Here we go! It’s time for pure insanity, complete exhaustion and the most fun and hilarious morning of my year! I’m so excited, because today is Purim parade day, and it is a tradition I hold dear. My hubby and I have the unique opportunity to lead it together at our Jewish Community Center here in Tucson, and we love every second of it. Not only do we get to work together, which is always a joy, but everyone involved has a blast! Children and teaching staff are in their costumes marching around, and professional staff comes out from behind their desks just to watch. Everyone has a smile on their faces, and it’s just the best morning!
Here are a couple of costumes from year’s past. I hope I get a photo of this year’s ladybug costume, but you never know because it’s kind of hard to take photos when you’re playing guitar at the same time.

There is always one song that stands out for me on this day each year. To me, the JCC Purim Parade wouldn’t be complete without Peter and Ellen Allard’s “Purim Parade” song. Here it is for you all to enjoy, and please know that this will be the soundtrack of my morning ahead as I’m strumming my guitar with joy all around. Happy Purim y’all!
