She thought she deserved better
So she always let go
People, places and things
nothing ever mattered
She was always on the lookout
A better deal
A better place
A better man
Nothing that came to her
could pacify her
She would always complain
Though it happened sometimes
When she was right
and she made a point
to judge everything the same way
She lost
some good ones
picked up by others,
who cherished and polished,
nurtured and cared,
turned them enviable
While she still struggled
with her choices and complaints
She saw them one day
and gasped,
once again
If only she could have that,
if only he was hers,
if only she could be there
Forgetting, they were hers’
Once..
