Deciding I was extremely bored of my dull brunette hair, I convinced myself that red hair was the way forward. Not Rihanna red hair obvs, my pale complexion would never allow me to pull that off.
I have to say I am not a massive fan of the DIY hair dyes, mostly because I don’t trust myself not to turn my hair green and would rather entrust the job to someone qualified.
I was extremely nervous at the prospect of a complete color change but I do think a deep rich red is lovely for the winter months so I plucked up the courage and went for a consultation at Aveda in Covent Garden. My colourist was brilliant, he sat with me for what felt like hours, poring over all the different types of reds and reassuring me until he was blue in the face that he wouldn't do anything too drastic! Finally I found a color I was happy with and went on the weekend to get it done.

I was in there well over two hours, As you can see from the picture I got a bit adventurous and asked for a fringe too, I am so happy with the result even if the color is alot more bold than I thought it would be, I still get a big shock whenever I glance in the mirror! It's definately going to take some getting used to but I love it! :)I really like that Aveda's products are all 96% naturally sourced as I dont like to use products that have too many chemicals in them, and even though it is quite a pricey salon (my color and blowdry altogether cost £120) it is worth every penny, for the brilliant service and professionalism of the staff and the talent they have for transforming flat, limp hair into glossy bouncy locks!
They have definately found a loyal customer in me!
