Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna Ab Hamare Dil Mein Hai,Dekhna Hai Zor Kitna Baazu - e - Qatil Mein Hai.When I first heard this line while watching Shaheed (1965) starring Manoj Kimar way back in the 90's as a kid little did I know that such revolutionary poem which have the power to instill patriotism and courage to do something for your country will not fit in some body's political ideology. Rajasthan BJP government has dropped it from class VII textbook along with references to Jawaharlal Nehru and another poem 'Jhansi Ki Rani' by Subhadra Kumari Chauhan. I don't understand what they are trying to prove by defaming/omitting/changing/manipulating historical facts? You can't eliminate the contributions of these great freedom fighters by eliminating them from textbooks. Here I am presenting this ghazal of Bismil Azimabadi which made famous by contributions from revolutionary freedom fighter Ramprasad Bismil along with its translation. I hope nobody try to remove it from here.
