For those newcomers and returning readers, welcome! This blog centers around M (my MS2 boyfriend) and me, Miss L (the CPA) as we conquer the medical and accounting world together.
We got back from Florida last night after five days in Disney. Typically, I would share an M-related post but the lucky devil hasn't had school in 2.5 weeks, so now it's onto the accounting nonsense. Folks, I was really determined to buckle down and try liking my job, something that's been eating at me since I first started there. Then last night at the airport I checked my many work emails and saw one from IT stating that all my computer equipment and phone had been moved to another desk. WHAT??? They moved my desk without telling me where my new seat is at. They didn't send out a seating chart. So instead of getting to work right away, I have to find my effing cubicle.
I texted a coworker asking where my new prison cell was and she said she thinks it's in the dark corner near the printer and scanner. Great, they took my window from me and put me next to the loudest machine in the office without consulting me. Honestly this is enough to make me send out my resume- the small things that make you feel less of a human being and more like a cubicle drone.
They took my window from me days before I start working 12 hour days for four months. I want to start crying but the blood curdling in my veins is taking priority.
When can I quit/retire/spit in their terrible corporate faces? 2013 is going to be a blood bath if they take the Keurig away from me too. Because then I'll have nothing left.
But on a positive note I start grad school class today and will be leaving work early for it. Freedom!!!
Stay tuned readers, we will get through this year alive.
